Merry Merry Christmas, Raspberry Rabbits, Some Kind of Wonderful

I have been busy doing lots of sewing and stitching, but just so slow at posting.  Here is my Merry Merry Snowmen Blocks 1 and 2 - block 2 isn't embroidered yet.

I am almost finished the embroidery on block 2 and will post a picture soon, together with Block 3 - such a beautiful quilt!

oh and an update on our ginger tabby rescue cat, Lacey.  she is doing amazing, so awesome and lovable - take a look at this with my chocolate lab, Molly and tabby, Rory. Our vet said she is doing great and now weighs 8.9 - in fact she she said Lacey is getting porky LOL. No one else is allowed to sleep in the bed!

Rory and Lacey love each other!

and they also love my lightbox!
Lacey has truly found her forever home with Rory and Molly and the rest of us!

Happy Stitching everyone!

Hot Chocolate

A Good Book

My strip and blocks for February

And the quilt so far

It love it so much!

Here is my first block of Harrington and Hannah.  This is so beautiful and so much fun to make.

and so another bit of a story.  We have a chocolate lab, Molly.  She is so sweet.  Here she is.

She loves her pool so much!

and our cat Rory - he was a stray - we are so glad to have him in our family!

and we have now been asked to foster a rescue cat, Lacey.  Lacey is 7 months old and so skinny.  She was found almost starving to death.  Lacey will be moving in on March 9!  We will be home on March break for a week, so it should be a great time to slowly introduce her to our family.  We are so excited to be saving her and loving her and giving her a great life and at the same time so anxious about how she will fit in.  This is Lacey a couple of weeks ago when she was rescued.

she is a sweet ginger tabby who so deserves a great life.  I think we love her already!

Taffy Pull

Yippeee just finished stitching down the binding on this quilt.  I am teaching a class on this in a couple weeks.  The border took a long time to piece as I pieced it one by one.

and a closer up shot of the quilting.  I quilted this on my sewing machine.  I bought a long arm but haven't quite figured out how to use it yet!

my kitty loves it too!

I will have to make Rory his own quilt.

Journey of a Quilter, A Kitten's Tale, Life is Beautiful

Here is my first block of Journey of a Quilter - there are 4 of us quilting friends making this quilt together.  Next time we get together all should have their first blocks done and I will post them here.

I have also been working on A Kitten's Tale - here are the first three blocks together and block 4 is in the works.  I took separate pictures as they show up better that way.

I ordered the patterns for the two above from Valerie at Pastimes Online

and finally Life is Beautiful - also through Valerie at Pastimes Online.

There will be sashing between the blocks and I still have lots of them to stitch.  Boy I need more time lol!
